Janice Sze Wan Poon

Janice is a seasoned writer and theatre professional based in Hong Kong. A two-time scholarship recipient awarded by Asian Cultural Council Lee Hysan Foundation fellowship(2010/11) and Chevening Scholarship(2013/14). She’s the Founder and Artistic Director of Hong Kong Dramatists which mission is to promote new play development in Chinese as well as text-based cross-disciplinary and cultural theatre productions. Her works were seen in Hong Kong, New York, London, Vancouver, Germany, Denmark, Cairo, Baku, China and Taiwan. Her play The Room was selected as part of the “30 Plays Celebrate 30 Years” festival of the League of Professional Theatre Women in New York(2013). Her play And Then, I Float was awarded four major awards in the 6th Hong Hong Theatre Libre (2014).
