Natalia Knowlton

Natalia Knowlton is a Chilean-Canadian playwright and theatre maker based in London who is passionate about creating works that explore issues of gender, race, cultural identity, and sexuality. Natalia is currently pursuing an MFA in Writing for Stage & Broadcast Media at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and she has a BA (Hons) in Drama from the University of Alberta.
Natalia made her London debut this year in Camden People's Theatre's feminist festival Calm Down, Dear with her play, Cream Pie, which she co-wrote, co-produced, and performed in. Cream Pie explores contemporary mainstream porn, porn consumption, and it’s impact on the millennial generation.
Plays she’s written include: Forastera (staged reading at the Citadel Theatre); Chola Face (Escape Velocity Festival at Undercurrent Theatre); Impurities (Cross Line Theatre at Edmonton Fringe); and Manhattan Memories (Nextfest). As a member of Undercurrent Theatre, she has also co-written and performed in (un)earthed and Escape Velocity.
